6 Super League teams in tricky Carlsberg fixtures

Six TNM Super League teams will clash in the 2017 Carlsberg Cup round of 32 following the national draw conducted at Mpira Village in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre yesterday.

Nyasa Big Bullets take on Civo Sporting Club while PremierBet Wizards and Dwangwa United clash with Red Lions and Mzuni FC, respectively.

However, other elite league clubs will battle it out against lower league outfits.  Kamuzu Barracks (KB) face the winner of Nsundwe United and Msiliza United whereas Mafco will host either Area 25 Stars or Chitedze Strikers.

Azam Tigers welcome Cobbe Barracks, Moyale Barracks face Mwanza Border United whereas Silver Strikers visit Polytechnic.

Blue Eagles tussle against Ekwendeni Hammers as Be Forward Wanderers meet Fish Eagles.

Chitipa United take on Nchalo United while Master Security face Michiru Madrid.

 Blantyre United face Rumphi Medicals.

In other games, lower league teams will play each other.

MDF Marine host winner of a match involving Jidi FC and Support Battalion, Be Forward Wanderers Reserves against Kasungu Police or Airborne Rangers and TN Stars or Dedza Young Soccer Stars versus Prison United.

Carlsberg Malawi senior brands manager (alcoholics) Twikale Chirwa, who supervised the draw alongside Football Association of Malawi (FAM) general secretary Alfred Gunda, said: “We are happy with the progress of the competition so far. Fans also stand a chance to win various prizes.”n
