After honeymoon, Dan Lu performs in Mzuzu

Musician Dan Lu, who wedded last week, will move straight from his honeymoon to perform at Squirrels Park in Mzuzu this Sunday.

This will be the first time for the Sweet Banana hit maker to perform in Mzuzu since releasing the hit, which features Nigerian Kingsley Chinweike Okwonkwo, popularly known as Kcee.

Dan Lu will perform together with Skeffa Chimoto, Lulu, Ril B and Fitzgerald Simfukwe, courtesy of newly-established Squirrels Entertainment firm.

In an interview, Dan Lu said he is currently enjoying his time at the honeymoon after tying the knot with Emmie Kamkweche last weekend, but he said he will cut it short to interact with his fans in Mzuzu.

“It has taken me a very long time to be in Mzuzu. A lot of people have been calling, asking me to travel to Mzuzu to give them a dose of Sweet Banana. So, people should expect fireworks,” he said.

Squirrels Entertainment director Tobias Keliophas said the show is one of several performances the firm has lined up this year. He said they will be hosting music performances every month.

He said: “After the show on Sunday, music fans should wait for another epic show on October 23 which brings together the Black Missionaries and the Wailing Brothers.

“We want to host all kinds of musicians so that people in the North do not miss entertainment. We want Squirrels Park to be the home of entertainment in Mzuzu.”

Squirrels Park opened in July this year with a performance by Zambian General Kanene and Lucius Banda and Zembani Band.
