Benin’s President invites JB to AU summit

Benin President Dr. Thomas Boni Yayi, who is also chairperson of the African Union (AU), on Tuesday night visited Malawi and invited President Joyce Banda to the forthcoming AU Summit in Ethiopia.

Speaking at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe after a closed-door discussion with Banda, Yayi said the summit is expected, among others, to discuss how African countries can enhance peace and stability on the continent. Yayi left the country the same night through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA). In the pictures, Yayi arrives at KIA and (L) being welcomed by Vice-President Khumbo Kachali. —Malawi News Agency.
