Bullets’ ‘Bweke’ takes pre-season by storm
Nyasa Big Bullets striker Bright ‘Bweke’ Munthali seems to have rediscovered his magic boots, if his pre-season goal-scoring record is anything to go by.
The striker, who moved to Bullets a season ago from Azam Tigers, was on target in all his club’s 10 pre-season matches with 11 goals to his credit.
Munthali was on target again on Sunday as Bullets wrapped up the pre-season matches with a 2-0 win over his former team Tigers at Mulanje Park.
Assistant coach Elia Kananji said Munthali could be the team’s trumpcard in 2018 season.
He said: “Bright has been in tremendous form. He has really been working hard. I only hope this form will be carried on in the coming season. If that happens, I tell you he will be our team’s target man.”
Meanwhile, the forward has promised to continue sharpening his goal-scoring prowess.
“It was good to be on the scoresheet again. Thanks to team-work. I look forward to the next game,” he said.
