Bunda Catholics in first album

Bunda College Catholic Choir has released its first album, upgrading its mission to spread the gospel through singing.

Recorded at Sound Splash Studio in Area 23, the album Tikuthokozani Yahweh contains10 tracks in both English and Chichewa.

In an interview, choir chairperson Joseph Namangale said the project was challenging considering it was their debut.

“We used to listen to songs from other constituent colleges and this prompted us to do something about it. Finally, we have an album out,” said Namangale.

The accomplishment puts Bunda Catholic Students Organisations (CSOs) apace with their friends at Chancellor College and Polytechnic who first released their albums over five years ago.

However, Namangale called for well wishers to fund the production of videos.

“The project needs proper funding. We, therefore, call upon all alumni to support us so that we shoot the DVD during the next academic year,” he said.

The album’s contents include Ufumu Wanu Udze, Yesu Ati Munda Wakula, Oh Sweet Sacrament and Yamikani Chauta.
