Chirwa: Carlsberg aims to highlight the quality aspect

Carlsberg Malawi conducted the second draw of the spirits promotion at Shoprite on Friday, where Blantyre-based Kwame Thipa emerged winner of a case of Malawi Gin.

Carlsberg Malawi, distributors of Malawi Gin, Malawi Vodka, Powers No1 and Gold label launched the spirits promotion on 28 June, and the grand draw will be held on August 20.

In this nationwide promotion, consumers are required to buy 700 millilitres (ml) or 200 ml of the spirit products mentioned above, and they stand a chance to enter and win prizes in the draws that are being held every fortnight.

“We’re giving out a Samsung big screen television as the grand prize, as well as t-shirts, caps, whisky glasses as fortnightly prizes,” said Twikale Chirwa, Carlsberg Malawi senior brands manager for alcoholic beverages.

This is an in-store promotion and the participating outlets include Metro, Chipiku, Game, Shoprite, People’s and Limbe Super market.

With this promotion, Chirwa said Carlsberg Malawi aims to highlight the quality aspect of their products versus other spirit products found on the market. The promotion is also a way of appreciating the business that customers and consumers of these spirits bring to the company.
