The Under-22 Chinese national side on Wednesday came from behind to hold the Flames to a 2-2 draw in an international friendly match played at Jiaxing Sports Centre in China.

According to a commentary monitored on MBC Radio 2, the Flames took the lead through Frank Banda two minutes into the second-half.

However, the junior Chinese national side appeared to dominate the match and equalised in the 69th minute.

Flames goalkeeper Amadou Ali mistimed his movement to deal with a corner kick and a Chinese striker rifled the ball home from the rebound.

The hosts then struck again seven minutes to full time. The Flames, however, equalised four minutes later through captain Joseph Kamwendo’s free-kick.

Apart from Banda and Kamwendo, the Flames also featured striker Esau Kanyenda.

Defender Foster Namwela and Kanyenda limped off injured and were replaced by Francis Mulimbika and Gabadini Mhango respectively.
