Striker Chiukepo Msowoya’s agent Martin Sekati has expressed disappointment with Big Bullets FC for interfering in the player’s trials at South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Bidvest Wits.

Speaking in an interview from Johannesburg on Friday, Sekati said he was not amused when Wits officials queried on the phone call they got purpotedly from a Bullets trustee (name withheld) inquiring about the player.

“They [Wits] were not amused that the club was contacting them directly because they were dealing with me. I was supposed to be the bridge between Wits and Chiukepo’s club.

“I made an attempt to convince them that it was due to a communication breakdown, but they were not happy. Teams here are professional and they would want everything to be handled professionally,” said Sekati.

Asked if the development is likely to affect the outcome of Chiukepo’s trials, Sekati said: “I can’t tell, but it could have an impact.

“Chiukepo’s trials went on very well, but I am yet to get feedback as the technical panel was supposed to decide over the weekend,” said Sekati.

He said Chiukepo is set to return home today.

However, Bullets vice-general secretary Kelvin Moyo said he was not aware of the issue.

“If such a thing indeed happened then it is very unfortunate because South African clubs are very strict in terms of procedures. I will make a follow up on that,” said Moyo. n
