City Presbytery tops inter-presbytery Sunday school talent promo
The Blantyre City Presbytery dominated the finals at CCAP Blantyre Synod’s inter-presbytery Sunday school talent promotion.
They scooped most of the top prizes. Held at Zomba CCAP, the finals concluded the competition where Sunday school children from the synod’s 18 presbyteries in several categories, including choirs, drama, verse recitals, story-telling, poetry and Bible quiz.
Blantyre City Presbytery came first in the choral, drama and theatre categories.
Vanessa Melo and Dyna Matomola from the presbytery came first and second respectively in verse recitals; Ruth Mataya from the presbytery was first in the stories category while Christina Banda came first in the poetry category.
In both the Bible quiz and drama categories, Shire Valley presbytery came second, followed by Zomba City.
In the choral category, Zomba City Presbytery came second followed by Zomba South Presbytery.
