According to the nomination forms in our possession, Dube and Nyambose were nominated for the positions of general secretary and vice-general secretary, respectively by Nkhata Bay District Football Committee while Banda was nominated by Nkhata Bay and Karonga committees on the position of treasurer.

The trio has since threatened to obtain a court injunction stopping the elections if FAM will not sort out the issue by Saturday.

“We are surprised that our names are not on the list FAM has released despite being nominated by affiliates, this needs to be sorted out before the election day failing which, we will seek court intervention,” warned Dube.

But outgoing FAM general secretary Suzgo Nyirenda asked for more time to investigate the matter.

“Those names are not on the nomination forms we got. However, give me time so that I should find out what went exactly happened,” he said.  n
