Davido not coming

Award–winning Nigerian Afro-pop musician Davido who was expected to arrive in the country today has cancelled his trip at the eleventh hour, Nation Online understands.

Davido according to organisers of his tour was supposed to head straight to Chilobwe to visit victims of the incessant rains that have swept away several homes and left thousands of residents destitute.

The Nigerian was meant to arrive on Thursday but the media in Malawi were told his schedule has been shifted and he will arrive today through Chileka International Airport in Blantyre.

Keep Blantyre Clean and Green, who were to host the Nigerian superstar, said Davido was to be welcomed by Blantyre City Mayor Noel Chalamanda, with whom he was supposed to tour Chilobwe.
