Ninety-six girls have graduated in ‘Future Dorcas Seminar’ after undergoing a week-long training at Soche Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church in Blantyre.

The girls were drawn from various SDA congregations and other denominations in Blantyre and Lilongwe.

The seminar was organised by the Soche SDA Dorcas department as one way of grooming future Dorcas women.

Girls, aged eight and above, learnt a number of subjects, including family care, cookery, tailoring and happy home-making.

Lead facilitator, Shepherdess Male, commended the girls for displaying good behaviour throughout the seminar.

Male expressed hope that the graduates will remain fruitful and God-fearing as they grow into adulthood.

“I wish to urge you to continue leading by example. Prove to the world that Christ is within you in your daily life—be it at school or at home,” Male said during the graduation ceremony.

Soche SDA Church resident Pastor John Wellem hailed the Dorcas department for organising the seminar.
