Fan wins K1.5m in TNM’s Predict & Win promo
One lucky football fan emerged the grand prize winner of K1.5 million in TNM’s Predict & Win promotion following the last draw held at FMB Lounge in Blantyre on Wednesday.
However, the lucky number 0888003890 could not be reached by the time this story was published.
Another lucky winner Raphael Kazingizi, a Nyasa Nig Bullets fan from Area 24, Lilongwe, won the monthly K100 000.
The fan could not believe his luck when TNM officials called to break the news.
“I never expected that I would win. This a pleasant surprise in the new year,” Kazingizi said.
TNM senior manager responsible for public relations, Akossa Mphepo said the mobile company was pleased that through the promotion, supporters had demonstrated real passion and knowledge of the domestic league.
“As a brand, we introduced Predict & Win to fully engage football fans in the sport with TNM SMS service and let them participate beyond just watching the game. So far, the response has been overwhelming,” she said.
Mphepo said TNM gave out cash prizes valued at K4 million to 47 people during the promotion.
The promotion registered 384 211 predictions, of which 29 815 were correct and qualified for the final draw.
TNM gave out K50 000 weekly prizes and K100 000 monthly prizes for seven months the promotion has been running.
To predict Super League match scores, subscribers were required to send an SMS of their prediction to code 1515 before kick-off of the selected game.
The Super League sponsors also introduced Sapota Kawawa promotion in which participants were required to post images of themselves cheering on their team, on TNM social media handles such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. n
