Five make it to Miss Malawi finals

Five contestants have made it to the finals of Miss Malawi beauty pageants.

The finalists are Charity Kachitsa, Chikondi Chisalika, Tiyamike Kazima, Yvonne Kamanga and Alinafe Chalunda.

All the five committed to promoting contraceptive among young learners if they win the Miss Malawi contest.

During questions, only two of the 11 contestants in the Central Region beauty pageants said they were not in support for calls to extend contraceptive methods to primary school learners as one way of addressing overpopulation in the country.
