Fomboni Club de Moheil might be weakened ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium as the Comoros giants have dropped two players on disciplinary grounds.

Fomboni’s Malawian striker Wister Phiri confirmed that Ben Youssouf Ali and Rashid, who featured in the 2015 CAF Champions League first leg, which Bullets won 1-0, were left behind for sneaking out of camp after the match at the Stade de Moroni last week.

“They have not been replaced in the travelling squad. We, on Monday, flew Tanzania Airways from the Comoros to Dar es Salaam where we hired a bus. We have since started off for Malawi today,” the ex-Mighty Wanderers forward explained yesterday.

Bullets expect to host a 25-member Fomboni delegation while returning the favour the team from Comoros accorded them in the first leg.

Phiri believes they, in the first leg, gave Bullets too much room to “play their passing game. We lost control. Even their goal [by Tizgobere Kumwenda], was due to poor marking from our defence. However, we are coming for revenge.”

But Bullets coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan told the press after the game in the Comoros that with their fans, the People’s Team would finish off Fomboni who are expected to arrive today (Wednesday).
