Football bonanza on Saturday

The Central Region Women Football Committee (CRWFC) is expected to hold a soccer bonanza where 10 teams will participate this weekend.
The bonanza, which failed to take place last weekend, is meant to give an opportunity for coaches to identify players for the national team.
CRWFC general secretary Ella Banda said yesterday five venues have been identified to ease transport costs on teams from various districts.
Tomorrow, Dzaleka Secondary School from Dowa will face Twinkles from Salima at Chankhungu Community Day Secondary School in Dowa. The game will start at 10 am.
Kauma FC take on Skippers (Lilongwe teams) at Silver Stadium. Chilinde Queens from Lilongwe are scheduled to face Nkhotakota Police at Salima Community Ground in the morning. Later, Nkhotakota Boma Stars will play Kamuzu Barracks Sisters at the same venue.
DD Sunshine has been exempted from preliminarily games and instead will play on Sunday against the best from Saturday, according to Banda
Banda also announced that her committee has appointed Precious Chilapondwa who used to coach Kamuzu Barracks to identify talent for the Central Region select team.
