A year after launching his first gospel album, artist Gwamba is back this time around with an extended playlist (EP).

Titled In Advance, he releases the EP’s track list today while the full collection is set for February 19.

Gwamba: It is gospel music as usual

This will be the fourth music album; both secular and gospel for the artist, born Duncan Zgambo.

After the release, Gwamba plans to focus on other aspects of his life.

“I am planning more charity works and of course, personal ventures that will keep me very occupied. I might not have much time and space for the studio. But at the same, I owe the nation some music.

“That it is why with my team, we have decided to release this EP called In Advance, meaning we are giving the people 2018 music in advance,” he explained in an interview.

“The track list comes out on Friday [today] and there are seven songs. It is gospel music as usual but you know I try as much as I can to put my songs in a way that my target audience can relate and understand.

“Most of the time, I put myself in somebody’s shoes. The core message is the power of prayer as well as encouraging people to always rely on God,” added the musician.

The EP has been done mostly in Chichewa.

According to musicinafrica.net, Gwamba is a hip hop artist who uses Chichewa as his medium. He started music in 2005 playing secular music.

After two successful secular albums, Gwamba had a change of heart in December 2016 when he convinced his fans that he can still make it big singing gospel music.
