Speaker of the National Assembly Richard Msowoya announced the suspension in Parliament yesterday, deploring the conduct of the MP as unacceptable.

According to the Speaker, Mkandawire will miss all Parliament engagements including committee meetings for three months.

The House has since adjourned after completing its four-week programme which saw several bills being passed.

Speaking just before the House rose, leader of Opposition Lazarus Chakwera applauded the House for making progress on several business items despite heated up arguments on several matters. n
