Islamic singer parties with Makhetha orphans

Kadhaf Ahmad Pilo, one of the pioneers in Islamic music in Malawi, celebrated the Eid holiday by entertaining orphans from the Makhetha area at his residence in Limbe.

The children were treated to lunch, after which they were entertained to several activities such as nasheed, Quran recitation and narration of the hadith.

The orphans, drawn up from the Makhetha communities, also watched a DVD of Pilo’s music which contains songs such as I am a Muslim and Moyo ndi Samu Yochotsera.

In his remarks, Salim Kumpita, one of the people who accompanied the children, thanked Pilo for organising the event for the orphans.

He encouraged fellow Muslims to emulate Pilo’s example despite having limited resources.

On his part, Pilo encouraged the orphans to work hard both in schools for them to excel in life despite the hardship they are going through.
