Three decades after he launched his Entertainer’s Promotions, music promoter Jai Banda continues to be a hovering figure on the music scene. After decades of promoting artists through his music shows and renting out equipment to artists, Jai continues to raise his management profile.
The multitudes that attended the launch of his mobile stage show at Lilongwe Golf Club witnessed just how this lawyer-cum-entertainment guru plans to prolong his grip on the industry.

A few beers away and mastery performances from some of the country’s biggest names in the music industry—from Black Missionaries, Lulu, Lucius Banda, Anthony Makondetsa, Skeffa Chimoto to Dan—were aided by the marked quality of the equipment.
This is a festive machine. Away from the towns, this music machine can aid such a music feast at any time and any place.
And the A-list cast of performers hardly disappointed. They even appeared elated and inspired by the magnificent platform.
As darkness descended on the capital, the stage provided a gloss splendid sight, one that would plead with the eye to keep gazing on those jamming the sounds.
“The sound engineering appears much better. The equipment is of high quality and this is good for Malawi music,” journalist Angelina Tsiga reacted.
Back on stage, the Chileka-based reggae artists Black Missionaries applied the icing on the cake, providing more gloss on the day with an inspired performance.
Lucius Banda’s energy was adorable for a man of his age and size. He was a love rat singing like a lovebird, winning hearts with his glorious voice and stage application.
But it was Jai whose star shone brightest. It is his new magic wand that promises us many great days and nights of festive atmospheres.
“Thank you Jai for everything you have done for us, we are so proud of you. Keep supporting us,” Chimoto, backed by his Real Sounds Band, took a temporal break to hail the promoter.
Many fans applauded.
But one fan noted the transition by artists was less impressive. Others were hardly impressed by the presence of only a few beer selling points.
Jai jumped on and off the stage to make announcements of various manner, at some point even grabbing the mic to direct the nightmarish traffic queues.
He didn’t speak about himself, but this was his night. 
