—Analysis of this Cabinet to follow
The President has chosen a very honest and experienced guy for the ministry of Finance. DR. MKwezalamba knows how the treasury works. However hasn’t he come when the damage has been down. Might his task ot be similar to that of a mechanic trying to repair a vehicle that has been declared beyond repair by the insurance company? in my view his first task should be to stop the government from transacting with both the National and standard banks. No govt ministry or department should have accounts at these banks. these institutions are either catalysing or promoting the theft of government funds. So WE Should say guys the party is over. OUT.
remember Bakili Muluzi also hired Hon. Professor Matthews Chikaonda as Minister of Finance in his time. Professor Chikaonda came up with his 10 master plan for our economy to boost. But what happened? Professor Chikaonda did not even take long at the helm of Finance Ministry. Before showing his expertise he was removed and replaced by Hon. Friday Jumbe probably because Bakili Muluzi knew that with an international expert like Professor Chikaonda it was very difficult for him to steal easily and thus why he was sucked and replaced by Hon. Friday Jumbe. Lets just hope that this is not going to happen this time around. All the same congratulations to Her Excellency. But why maintaining Catherine Gotahi Hara? I understand she is being investigated for corrupt practices by withdrawing 10.Million Kwacha for a fully funded workshop in China. Has the case been concluded and declared innocent? This is what is making the junior staff to steal. Unless if Catherine Gotani Hara has been cleared then I don’t have any problem with her being retained as the Hon. Minister of Health.
even Anita Kalinde was not supposed to be retained as her company is being linked to the cash-gate scandal.
Gotani and Kalinde shldnt have bn hired again. We nd accountability. I thnk the president is part of that first 1bn kwacha fraud. Why is Lutepo still missing?
