John Tembo
Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president and Member of Parliament for Dedza South, I would appreciate that my constituency lacks the development levels expected of an area that is served by one of the most influential political figures in the country.
ÂÂ
I would appreciate, if I were baba Tembo, that from the evidence at hand, I have done little to develop my constituency despite serving as MP for the area for a period spanning over 30 years.
How I wish I were the Dedza South MP, because I would realise that when some of my constituents claim that I rarely visit them, then there is a cause for worry.
If I were JZU, I would realise that the picture I am painting to my constituents is that having served this long, I have run out of my usefulness and relevance hence the need to pave the way for new blood.
Thus, I would seriously consider leaving the stage while I still enjoy some respect among my constituents other than wait for the boot.
All I am saying is that if I were Hon. Tembo, I would realise that when a constituency belonging to a highly respected and veteran politician like myself has a health centre whose condition is in a sorry sight, then it is a cause for concern.
That is if only I were JZU. Unfortunately, I am not Puludzu!
