John Msonthi had the longest drive whereas Sean Raman was nearest to the pin.

Jomo, who got a Nokia 105 phone as a prize, was over the moon.

“I am glad to have conquered Lilongwe. The fact that I counted out three golfers shows how tight the competition was. My best hole was six. I had a birdie.  I putted from the edge and the ball went straight in,” said Jomo.

He thanked Airtel Malawi for the ball pool, saying it has become an event that everyone looks forward to.

LGC captain Brian Coombes thanked Airtel Malawi not only for the ball pool, but also for updating golfers on the Airtel enterprise value added service.

“It’s an exciting moment for LGC to have these Airtel-sponsored ball pools.  Every golfer in Lilongwe is looks forward to competing every Wednesday.  It is good for the growth of the game.  Not only that, but it also affords golfers an opportunity to get updated on Airtel services,” said Coombes. n
