Kasungu Police and Airborne Rangers are sharing the top seat in the K6 million (about $15 000) Chipiku Lilongwe and Districts Football League (LDFL) Premier Division.

Airborne collected full points from their two away games last weekend while Kasungu Police bagged four points from a possible six.

Kasungu Police are advantaged at top on better goal difference of six over the Salima-based Malawi Defence Force (MDF) side.

Both have 10 points from five games and they are holding the same record of three wins, a loss and a draw.

Airborne beat Maumau 1-0 on Saturday through Lawrence Chawuluka.

They completed their outing with a 1-0 win over Msundwe United on Sunday through William Munthali’s first-half goal.

Kasungu Police shared the spoils on Saturday following a 1-1 draw against Hardknockers. Chimwemwe Ndlovu scored for Hardknockers while Saulosi Chimombo scored for Kasungu Police.

On Sunday, Chimombo earned his side a win with a hat-trick against Namitete Young Rangers who got the consolation goal through Brain Lungu.

Nambuma United are on third position on the log table with nine points from five games.

Namitete’s Lungu and Gift Phiri of Nambuma United top the scorers’ sheet with five goals each.
