They have 26 points from 13 games, having won eight, drawn two and lost three.

Ines Ruis was the toast of the day for Kazisonga’side after netting four goals while Astrida scored a brace. Iris, Anna, Alex and Jessica scored a  goal each. They led 5-0 at half time.

Kazisonga, who played as left winger, was an architect of the goals scored by Astrida (twice) and Anna.

“It was not that difficult to play as a left winger because I have been playing as left back. So, it was easy for me to adapt.

“But I am still more comfortable playing as a defender. We wanted more goals and with my pace, the coach felt I would be effective playing in that position,” she said.

The former Skippers defender said their opponents were frustrated after they scored five goals in space of seven minutes.

Skippers director Charles Mwenda said Kazisonga is a versatile player who can fit in any position.
