“People should be ready for the DVD which has been professionally shot by Chipie Khonje.

“We will launch the album in all regions come next month, but we are yet to set the dates,” said Anjiru. The news comes barely a few days after the band travelled back from South Africa where they had three shows.

Last weekend, the band was one of the headliners at the Blantyre Arts Festival (BAF).

“We didn’t have time to shoot some videos in South Africa because we were rushing for BAF where we were lined up for a performance. Otherwise we would have loved to shoot some videos there,” he said.

Anjiru said shows in South Africa, where they performed together with Skeffa Chimoto, were warmly received.

“The reception was good. The shows had impressive patronage as is the case here. It was encouraging to see Zambians and Zimbabweans attend the shows,” said Anjiru.

Kuimba 10 has received a good share of criticism, although some of the songs have proved to be hits in various entertainment circles.

The album is also said to have sold more copies in a month than has been the case in previous years.
