According to LDNL general secretary Zachariah Kasakula, the committee has been formed to enhance friendship between the two leagues.

“This will help to promote the game between the two leagues; and the countries at large. We will be organising tournaments for the two leagues,” said Kasakula.

The joint committee is headed by Absalom Mithi of Zambia and his deputy is LDNL chairperson Bofina Makina. Victoria Manda is the general secretary while her deputy is Regina Banda.

The committee’s purse has been entrusted to Zambians Charity Kalyembe and Symon Phiri as treasurer and deputy treasurer respectively.

Lynes Kamanga and Samuel Chisinga are the committee’s coordinators.

In a related development, the Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) has expressed gratitude to R Patel for renovating the Kamuzu Institute for Sports (KIS) Court.
