In an interview on Thursday, Capital City Motel owner George Tambala said Lulu returns to the spot after an impressive cameo last weekend.

“There is high demand from the fans to have him back this Sunday. People love Lulu and he is an accomplished stage performer. The fans want more,” he said.

The Sunday jazz sessions are part of a drive to provide both residents and visitors in Lilongwe with quality entertainment every Sunday, said Tambala.

The venue used to host jazz concerts in the 1990s.

Lulu said he is humbled by the feedback, promising to give a better performance to meet the billing.

“I don’t take it for granted that the fans liked the performance on Sunday. I will give my all and it will be a different experience,” he said.
