The door to the new boxing business kid on the block Namisonga Boxing Promotions flung open in style on Friday in Chilomoni Township, Blantyre, instantly swaying Malawi Boxing Association (Maba).

Invited guests who wined and dined were allowed to walk in and have a feel of the state- of-the-art boxing equipment for Ayaya City Stable’s boxers and general physical fitness training equipment for Ayaya City Gym.

The gym, which is open to the public at K2 000 per month or K200 per day, and the stable are babies under Namisonga, a registered business entity whose board of directors comprise lawyers, marketers, accountants and managers.

Guest of honour at the function, Maba general secretary Arthur Nanthulu; and Boxing Control Board general secretary Daud Chikwanje could not hide their admiration when declaring the facility open.

Namisonga’s senior partner is Frank Chibisa.

The company’s general secretary Joster Chisale earlier announced a debut fight scheduled for April 29 2011 involving Limbani Masamba and an opponent who is yet to be confirmed.
