If I were

Malison Ndau

Minister of Information and Communications Technology, I would realise the need to be on top of things as government spokesperson.

If I were Honourable Ndau, I would appreciate that my inconsistencies on President Peter Mutharika’s United States of America programmes raised more questions than answers.

I would realise that it was me, in my capacity as government spokesperson, who earlier announced that the President would return the previous weekend, dated October 8-9, but as it turned out, the President only appreated last Sunday.

If I were the government spokesperson, I would further recall that it was me who announced that the President would address Malawians on arrival, but that, too, did not happen.

Therefore, I would realise that it is such inconsistencies that breed speculation and probably that is why the President’s sudden decision to use his left hand, when he is known to actively use his right one, hogged the limelight and stirred debate.

If I were the minister, I would also come out to explain such oddity to avoid further speculations.

That is if I were Malison Ndau, MP. Unfortunately, I am just Garry. n
