Manager cautions Limbani against complacency

Boxer Limbani Masamba’s manager has warned him against complacency as he is set for a rematch against Malani Kayuni next week.

Limbani knocked out Malani in the seventh round of their 10-round non-title fight three months ago.

But manager Charles Nkhoma said in an interview on Saturday that though Limbani has high chances of winning again, he should not take it for granted.

“We have intensified his training and we are making sure he is on his toes to be thoroughly prepared, mentally, psychologically and physically.

“The way he performed in the last fight might make him feel he will have an easy ride, but he should know that Malani is coming for a revenge,” said Nkhoma.

Malani has since taken on board former African Boxing Union lightweight champion Chikoya Mphande as his trainer.

“I am desperate for a revenge and I am working hard to win this rematch,” said Malani

The two boxers are currently the cream of boxers with the likes of Chrispin Moliati, Osgood Kayuni and Wilson Masamba attending military training.
