Mangochi CSOs asked to support youth activities
Mangochi district youth officer Kumbukani Manda has advised civil society organisations (CSOs) in the district to support youth activities and ensure sustainability of projects.
The official made the appeal on Tuesday during a youth technical sub-committee meeting at the district education manager’s conference hall in Mangochi.
Manda’s remarks followed a presentation on Empowerin
g Adolescent Girls project to be introduced in the district by Concern World Wide.
“There is need to consider sustainability of programmes right at planning stage,” he said.
Concern Worldwide project team leader Victor Mthulo said the projects will be implemented in Traditional Authority Namabvi because the area ranks high on school girl dropout rate in the district. n
