M’busa, which has Anjiru Fumulani on the lead vocals,  decries the conduct of a religious leader who despite his status displays a deplorable conduct which does not befit someone in his position.

Part of the first verse of the song which has been done in their traditional reggae beat goes like: ‘Amati ndikusaleni/koma Mulungu sangadalitse ineyo/kodi kusala ndisale inuyooo?/ndiye kuti sindikalowa kumwamba ine…

Front man Fumulani said: “Basically, the song is questioning the conduct of a leader who instead of leading his flock and bringing it together, is at the centre of sowing divisions. It is regrettably a conduct which is becoming common nowadays.”

Work on the album, which is being recorded in Ndirande  Township in Blantyre at Active A Studio by Amos Mulolowa, is still continuing and the official launch is expected to take place on June 29 at Comesa Hall in Blantyre and Lilongwe Golf Club on July 1.

Fumulani paid tribute to their fans, whose support he says has helped the band to soar new heights.

Entertainers Promotion  managed the launch events for Black Missionaries’ previous three albums and they have been entrusted with the same responsibility this time around. They have vowed to set new standards during the launch in June.

Entertainers Promotion director Tonderayi Banda said: “We are taking the launch very seriously. This will be a red carpet event that has never been witnessed in this country. Fans will ask themselves whether it is the same band because we are ensuring that they go through intensive rehearsals.”

He said they are bringing in the biggest stage ever seen. n
