According to Mitc, this will include hosting of football matches and other events, booking of conference facilities and letting out of shops and restaurant facilities.

“Mitc is ready to facilitate investment opportunities for those interested in the project,” Mitc chief executive officer Clement Kumbemba said on Wednesday.

Kumbemba said the structure of partnership or shareholding proposal is 40 percent government and 60 percent the investor.

Principal secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports Justin Said confirmed the arrangement.

“We are the owners of the facility, but as an investment project, the facilitators are Mitc through the One-Stop Service Centre,” said Saidi. n
