According to one of the organisers, Stevie Mawenzi-Msiska, the bout has been shifted because it clashed with boxing official Bester Saopa’s wedding.
“Due to communication breakdown, we did not realise that Saopa’s wedding is also scheduled for the same day and we thought it wise to shift the date so that for this weekend, the focus should be on the wedding,” said Msiska.
He said the shift will also give the two boxers more time to tune up for the bout which as been organised by Alufandika Boxing Promotions.
This will be Agnes’ second bout after her two-year break. She marked her return to the ring with a unanimous points victory over Amina Mhubira on May 19 at the same venue.
Agnes has a record of five wins, two losses and a draw while Nusarite has fought 17 professional bouts of which she has won five, lost eight and drawn four.
