Mzuzu golfers win Masm tournament

The Mzuzu youthful up-and-coming golfers Godfrey Chisale and Yasin Phiri on Saturday silenced Southern Region veterans when they won Medical Aid Society of Malawi (Masm) 30th anniversary played at Blantyre Sports Club.

Chisale and Phiri won the tournament with 38 points after beating 62 others.

Medson Kalambule won the longest drive while Paul Araujo won nearest to the pin and Beatrice Mangwana won in the women’s category with Terry Amaru coming second.

Paul Chidale won the men’s individuals’ stableford with 41 points.

Sydney Chikoti chief executive officer for Masm, said they decided to celebrate their 30 years of service with golfers because most of them were decision makers.
