Diamonds, Tigresses and Queens will begin their second-round matches with fixtures against Alliance Capital Sisters, Chilomoni Sisters and Airwing Sisters, respectively.

Encounters involving defending champions Diamonds and league leaders Tigresses will take place at Blantyre Youth Centre (BYC) while Thunders will play away at Zomba Airwing, where they will also take on Prison Sisters.

According to SRNL general secretary Annie Hanjahanja-Billie, Zomba Airwing will also host Shizaella Sisters before setting the stage for an encounter between Shizaella and Prison Sisters.

“We expect to experience very exciting games this Saturday because players from teams that were exempted for national duties will be keen to showcase skills acquired at the World Cup while those that were left behind would want to prove that they are equally good,” Hanjahanja-Billie said.

Tigresses are at the summit of the log table with 27 points from nine straight wins and are three points ahead of second placed Diamonds. n
