Flames striker Robin Ngalande has terminated his contract with South Africa Premier League (PSL) side Baroka FC.

The player’s manager Paul Mitchel confirmed the development in an interview yesterday.

Has parted ways with Baroka: Ngalande

Ngalande has never settled at a club. At his peak, he stunned many by dumping Atletico Madrid youth side in Spain and opted to come back to Africa.

At 25, he has played for PSL sides Mamelodi Sundowns, Platinum Stars, Bidvest Wits, Ajax Cape Town and Baroka.

But Mitchel backed his client saying, this is not deliberate.

“No, it’s not deliberate. Being a foreigner [player] in South Africa is not always easy. Plus, he is a player that attracts interests with his quality,” he said.

Meanwhile, the player, who is expected to be part of Malawi national team at Cosafa Cup in South Africa, has already been licked with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) giants TP Mazembe.

But Mitchel said they are not interested in the former CAF Champions League champions.

He said: “We have interests in Robin from South Africa, Egypt, and Egypt fro Robin.”

While at Baroka, Ngalande made 26 appearances in all competitions during the past season, netting three goals and providing two assists.
