Mighty Be Forward Wanderers have launched another SMS promotion dubbed ‘Be Forward Yathu’ aimed at generating revenue for the operations of the club.

The Nomads general secretary Mike Butao confirmed the development saying the grand prize is a Toyota Vitz which has been offered by their sponsor—Japanese second hand car exporter Be Forward Limited.

“This promotion will only run for two months and based on how well it goes, we will come back with something bigger and better in the second-round,” said Butao.

The Nomads GS said just like the previous promotion which was conducted last year, dubbed ‘NomaYathu’ which he admitted was a flop, they will again use the TNM code.

“The first promotion was a flop, but there were lessons learnt being the first time that we run the initiative. We are again working with TNM but through an aggregator who has the competencies for this kind of thing.

“So, we hope for better results this time around,” he said.

He urged TNM subscribers and football lovers regardless of their team affiliation to join the promotion by texting ‘BFW’ to 1010 to stand a chance of winning the ultimate prize as well as other consolation prizes which will include K200 000 cash and branded footballs.

Asked how much they have invested in the initiative, Butao said: “The investment we have put in is immaterial, but we hope to recover all of it in the two months that the promotion will run.”

Butao said draws will be conducted every two weeks with the monetary second prize slated for July 12 while the final draw to determine the winner of the Toyota Vitz will be done on August 23.
