Just as it is written in Luke18:16 “But Jesus called them to Him and said: ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God’.”

So was the situation at Malowa CCAP in Chiradzulu on 24 April 2016, when Reverend James Kanyochole baptised 10 infants belonging to the congregation.

Speaking during the ceremony, Reverend Kanyochole of Chiradzulu Presbytery urged the parents and guardians to provide good care to infants.

“Children have to be taken care of. They have to be provided with love and basic necessities. Let us be responsible bearing in mind that if these things are not provided to the children, they might turn against us when the children grow up into bad elements of our society,” said Kanyochole.

He also asked parents prioritise educating their children.

Malowa CCAP superintendent Eliad Makanani also urged the parents to be exemplary to their children.

“Children have good memories—they are good at copying things that they are mostly exposed to. As such, parents should at all cost avoid fighting in the family, getting drunk or smoking,” he said. n
