Phiri, Mbilizi bag Airtel Golf crowns

The Airtel Malawi Golf Tournament at Country Club Limbe (CCL) ended in resounding victory for Welkam Phiri and ladies’ top golfer Roza Mbilizi on Saturday. Despite the chilly weather standing in their way, Phiri and Mbilizi defied the odds to secure glory in a spectacular fashion to outclass a 104-strongfield. As the contest teed off at around 6am, unforgiving winds that corroborated well with the swooping terrains made putting extremely difficult.
