Nation Publications Limited (NPL) photojournalist Lucky Mkandawire is representing Malawi at the event. Mkandawire is also Photographers Association of Malawi (Photama) president.

The creators have come from Hannover’s twin cities in Japan (Hiroshima), Poland (Poznan), Britain (Bristol), France (Rouen) and Malawi (Blantyre).

They include photographers, curators, sculptors, painters, videographers, conceptual artists and arts educators.

More than 500 artsy people visited the exhibition on the opening day on Sundayevening and between 500 and 800 are dropping by every day to marvel at the works.

The exhibition team leader Kerstin Schulz of Atelier-Dreieck in Hannover said the touring exhibition, which started last year, is one of the biggest not only in Germany, but Europe.

The exhibition has already been to Poznan in Poland and Bristol in England and is heading for other Hannover’s twin cities.

“This is one of the well-patronised exhibitions we have had where more than 500 individuals attended the opening event. The concept of the project is on changes in communication in different countries. We aim to bring together as many artists as possible to motivate people about art and initiate realistic debates on the change of analog to digitalisation in different countries,” Schulz told The Nation.
