After revitalising her music career with Mavutowa Akadzatha album last year, gospel songbird Princess Chitsulo is back again with her third album, Nyimbo Yanga.

The musician, who released the second album while struggling with a heart-related disease, described the new album as a continuation of her previous story.

Said Chitsulo: “Between 2012 and 2014, I was struggling with a heart disease, a condition that compelled me to compose Ndidzaimba Nyimbo [Mavutowa Akadzatha] not only to recount my ordeal, but also to commit myself to sing a happy song once my problems are over.

“So, here I come with a testimony of what God has done in my life. We draw music inspiration from different things, including personal experiences.

“And, honestly, my conditions inspire me to compose songs to renew my confidence and that of others that are going through similar situations.”

She added that she believes music has power to recharge self-confidence and bring back lost hopes.

Nyimbo Yanga is a thanksgiving song which sees Chitsulo on her feet again following God’s promise that she would be better again and glorify Him.

Chitsulo said she will launch the album on September 30 at Comesa Hall in Blantyre then move on to other areas in the country. n
