Provoice tops UK chart
With globalisation, artists have started making an appearance in other platforms that make them visible on the world stage.
Malawian musician Provoice has topped a Fox World Charts in the UK in a programme called ‘Talent from Motherland’, which focuses on African musicians.
With 16 votes, the artist beat 20 other African reggae artists with his song Church Mouse which features Jamaican artist Ras Zion.
It seems Malawian music is doing well on the chart, with Jeddie I Tafari as a runner up with his song Praise, but he also has another on position eight titled Complete Free Like A Dove.
Other Malawian entries in the Top 20 chart include Blasto, whose songs Rebel andJah Nu Sleep are on positions five and 16 respectively and Trumel, who has Green Red Black Love on position 14 and I Want You to Stay on 15.
