Silver Strikers says it will loan out six players as the Bankers are repositioning themselves in readiness for the 2018 TNM Super League season.

The club’s general secretary Thabo Chakaka-Nyirenda said in an interview that Mphatso Kayembe Chintondo, Herbert Wayekha, Frank Chizuze, Thoko Stambuli, Thoko Ngwira  and Paul Kalema will be loaned out.

“This follows a recommendation from the technical panel. We hope by loaning them out it will improve their performance,” he said.

To be loaned out: Chizuze

The exit of the six players follows the arrival of new-signings Mphatso Phillimon from Blue Eagles, Lazarus Nyemera from Mzuzu University (Mzuni) FC, Jack Chiona from Dwangwa United and Zikani Kasambara and Prince Phiri from the lower leagues.

The new recruits have already shown potential, according to team manager Francis Songo.

“Some of the new players will even get better with time,” said Songo, adding that there was need not to put the new signings under pressure.

Silver featured some of the players in their back-to-back international friendly matches with Zambian outfits Chipata City Council and Nkhwazi FC this month.

Last season, Silver won Airtel Top 8 and finished third in the TNM Super League.

They only lost once to Red Lions in the Super League but their campaign was undone by 13 draws.
