Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has said it is waiting for reports from officials on the alleged violence by Silver Strikers supporters on Wednesday when the Bankers lost 4-2 to Kamuzu Barracks in the TNM Super League at Civo Stadium. The supporters blocked the passage to the dressing rooms during at half-time break as they bayed for referee Chidziwitso Simbi’s blood over the decision to award KB a penalty after Chisomo Mpachika fouled Kelvin Hanganda. Sulom vice-general secretary Thoko Chazema, who was at the match, expressed shock at the supporters’ behaviour, saying it dented the image of the league. But Silver Strikers general secretary Thabo Chakaka-Nyirenda yesterday said it will be strange if they are charged because they managed to control the supporters.
