Six-year-old golfer finishes fourth in Zambia tourney

Six-year-old golf whizz-kid Ziyaad Mussa performed beyond expectations in an international golf tournament in Ndola, Zambia on Sunday where he finished fourth.

The tournament, called Chick of the North, attracted over 100 participants in four categories.

According to his trainer Dingaan Chirwa, Ziyaad took part in the Under-10 category which had 12 top junior golfers.

“He was the youngest in the category, but he defied the odds to earn a podium finish and received a trophy.

“For his age, it was pleasing to see how confident and relaxed he was. I thought playing in a new environment would affect him, but he appeared at ease,” said Chirwa.

The year one Hillview International School pupil was chosen for the tournament because of his outstanding performance in the six and under local golf tournaments which he has been dominating.n
