“Apart from the police service, we have several private security firms and also vigilant community members surrounding this place. For people to have maximum entertainment, there is need for security and people should not be worried.

We have covered every area in the aspect of security. On sanitation there is no need to worry as everything is in place too. We have not left everything to chance,” said Banda.

Sunbird Livingstonia Beach general manager Nedson Chikuta said to ensure there are no drowning cases, they will deploy a  highly trained water rescue team, including divers,  and other support personnel dedicated to responding to emergencies on a 24/7 basis.

“The team has been drilled in all aspects of water rescue methods and will be on call to ensure that we don’t have drowning cases. No person will be allowed to go swimming after 6 pm and we are appealing to our guests to adhere to this arrangement,” said Chikuta.

On electricity and sound hiccups, Chikakuda assured the fans of smooth and quality show.

“We have installed a 150 kilowatt(kw) generator as backup. Our unparalleled staging products are designed to withstand the harshest of weather conditions. The alpha stage is the state-of-the- art with three dimension so that artists can interact with fans on all sides of the stage. The lighting is superb and we have quality speakers and amplifiers,” said he.

The concert, which targets local musicians, has pulled together all the top artists in the country from secular and gospel section.

Black Missionaries, Lucius Banda, are some of the top names to perform on the concert. n
