Sharra said the fun will continue on Saturday with poetry, beach soccer and beach volleyball tournaments. Swam will also hold its annual general meeting (AGM) which will include a sports reporting workshop.

“Charges will be K2 000 and K1 000 per head on Friday and Saturday, respectively.”

The Swam veep also appealed for assistance in cash or kind, saying they have a shortfall of about K7 million.

“Our initial budget was K10 million, but so far we have only raised about K3 million. We appeal to partners that we work with to assist us so as to make the event a success,” he said.
