Strive to keep your fire burning

It’s very easy from time to time to slip into a situation when you feel uninspired or distracted but don’t pull yourself down by acting as you feel or you will descend into a rut. Here are some suggestions to avoid that.
Deliver what you need to do: Fulfill your obligations; things you must get done and aim to do them better than you’ve always done so that you are forced to engage fully. Don’t let how you may be feeling get in the way. They may not be tasks that excite you but such nuts and bolts are often what hold the ‘’exciting’’ things together. Take your responsibility and duties seriously and perform them professionally.
Appreciate what you get to do: This is about the opportunities you have and things you get to make happen or contribute to. If you reflect on things that you are able to do that develop you, advance you or give you access to people you otherwise wouldn’t have you may feel more blessed. Care about what you do and invest in yourself so you get to do it well. Don’t take yourself or what you get to do for granted. Make time to find the contribution that is right for you that you can commit to and make. If you can’t bring yourself from some perspective to feel ‘lucky’’ then good to go do something else.
Honour what you choose to do: This requires a shift in how you choose to think, the lens you put on situations. You can make a situation better or manageable if you choose not to act helpless and look for the silver lining. You have more power than you think. Tackle any blockages that are inhibiting you or limiting your options.
Celebrate what you get to create: This is about being mindful of what’s needed but is absent that you can bring about. Keeps your mind ticking and have conversations with people to discover what you might do that could increase the worth, utility or relevance of something in your environment. Be driven by learning so that you always have the intellectual resources to address problems in novel ways.
Now take action:  What one thing interests you that you can make time to contribute to?
